WHAT: A fun family-friendly walking tour that provides historic insight into the people and places in Canal Winchester that have long passed into the misty past. Period-costumed actors portraying notables from Canal Winchester's colorful history will relate little known incidents and the sometimes very surprising activities that once took place in locations throughout the streets of old Canal Winchester. Proceeds help to support the Canal Winchester Area Historical Society's core programs and conservation/preservation projects.
WHEN: Friday and Saturday October 13th & 14th. Tours start at 7pm.
Stops and ticket details:
Event-goers will be guided through a short walking tour as they are entertained by actors depicting people from Canal Winchester’s past. This year's stops The Canal Winchester Area Historical Society will present its annual Historic Ghost Tour on Friday and Saturday, October 13th and 14th, 2017. The first tour each evening will depart from the Frances Steube Community Center, 22 South Trine Street, Canal Winchester, Ohio, at 7 p.m. each evening. The last tour of each evening will depart at 7:30 p.m. The complete tour will last approximately 90 minutes. Featured in the 2017 Ghost Tour will be: The Interurban Depot, The Brown Jug, The Home of Dr. L. W. Beery, Prentiss School, The “Queen of the Line” Depot, and Conrad’s Market. The Canal Winchester Area Historical Society is a non-profit organization and all proceeds will be used for operating expenses.
