WHAT: A fun family-friendly walking tour that provides historic insight into the people and places in Canal Winchester that have long passed into the misty past. Period-costumed actors portraying notables from Canal Winchester's colorful history will relate little known incidents and the sometimes very surprising activities that once took place in locations throughout the streets of old Canal Winchester. Proceeds help to support the Canal Winchester Area Historical Society's core programs and conservation/preservation projects.
WHEN: Friday and Saturday October 9th & 10th. Tours start at 7pm.

Event-goers will be guided through a short walking tour as they are entertained by actors depicting people from Canal Winchester’s past. Performing in this year’s event on Friday October 9, Mayor Michael Ebert is set to portray former Canal Winchester Mayor K.L. (Mike) Miller. Other historical portrayals will include Frances Steube, Canal Winchester’s first female council member, and Dr. Williard Gayman, one of Canal Winchester’s first car owners.
Tours lasting approximately 90 minutes will begin at 7:00 p.m. each night, with the last tour departing at 7:30 p.m. All tours will depart from Faith United Methodist Church, 15 W. Columbus St. Tickets may be purchased at Faith United Methodist Church each evening of the tour beginning at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are offered at $10 per adult and $5 per student aged 6-18; children 5 and under will be free. Proceeds help to support the Canal Winchester Area Historical Society's core programs and preservation projects.
The Canal Winchester Area Historical Society is a non-profit organization and all proceeds will be used for operating expenses.
